Confessions Of An Internet Marketer

Yep Thats Me Thomas Northrop

Hi I am Thomas B Northrop
Computers are my passion, my friend,
my escape. Thats my mug shot
right over there>>>.

Since the 80’s I have been messing
around with computers. My first
computer was a Commodore 64,which
I had no idea how to use. The idea
I had when I first bought it, and
saw the price of the programs they
had for it was that I was going to
write my own programs. So I bought
a book and tried.

Today I regret not following through
with that plan. However, being totally
overwhelmed with the amount of typing
it took to write a simple script to
make text bold I gave up and bought
a program called “Easy Script” This
gave me a simple word processor which
gave me many years of service until I
saw a mouse.

Now it was not that I actually needed a
mouse to do what I was doing. The darn
thing was just so cool. It was hooked
up to what they called a IBM computable
computer. This computer even had something
called a hard drive. The hard drive stored
your programs on it so you did not have
to load them into the computer each time
you wanted to use one. Not only that
it also had 256k of RAM expandable to
1 whole megabyte. To top it all off it
came loaded with something that was just
catching on, a operating system called
Windows.

Well I bought one. That was what really
started it all. Somehow I figured out
that you could easily buy the parts and
build your own IBM Computable computer.
So I started a computer company. I sold
and built my first computer at the same
time. Building it was the easy part.
The hard part was the guy I sold it to
owned a  auto salvage yard. He needed a
parts database to track what parts were
available on the cars in his yard.

He handed me his inventory list and I
went to work. First, I had to figure out
what exactly a data base was and how to
build one.

I got through that, actually it turned
out pretty well. In fact the guy is
still using that same database today.

I built quite a few computers for
local people, businesses and even a
school system. Then they came out with
the dreaded Pentium processor.

When they first came out I hated the
Pentium processors and the motherboards
built for them. I could not understand
why there was a need for a processor that
was faster than the 486 class processors,
that I happened to have a garage full of.

Those darn Pentium processors hurt me
bad as my inventory quickly became
obsolete.

My little computer company was doomed. I
just could not recoup the investment I had
in the 486 processors. Nobody wanted them
anymore. Many years later I hauled them
all to the recycling center.

Since then I have kept up on technology and
still build computers for my friends and
family, although these days it is almost
cheaper, and a lot less trouble just to buy
one already built and pre loaded.

For the past few years I have concentrated
my efforts on Internet Marketing. I find
it fascinating. Someday, I have no doubt
Internet Marketing will make me a very
rich man.

After taking coaching programs from my
mentors, Michael Cheney, Alex Jeffreys,
Russell Brunson, and Tellman Knudson
I have finally found the answers.

In fact the process is amazingly simple.

The key is that many people cannot see the
forest because of all the trees.

Internet Marketing, it is not at all
complicated if you concentrate on what is
right in front of you.

Learn from the success of others.

Get organized.

Most importantly be positive and never
ever give up.
